But up to your posting, the one by derFred had been the only one mentioning the name (and I had originally intended, but then forgotten to ask derFred to remove that reference, in accordance with common practice on the German subforum when the incriminated user does not himself take part in the discussion). And I assume that while copyright (auteursrecht) may be the means that E. employs to have the citations removed, he/she is actually concerned about his/her privacy, which is why I put my remark in that context. In fact, I seriously doubt that E. has actually looked up Artikel 10 of the Dutch Auteurswet to find out whether private communication falls under Dutch copyright law (which I am in fact not sure it does, as the content of those emails may not meet the minimum requirements of "voortbrengsel op het gebied van letterkunde, wetenschap of kunst").

By the way, I don't think that you need to fear any future legal threats from E. now that the citation has been removed. As far as I can see, all the punishment regulations in Auteurswet require intent (opzet).
