how to use current iD version in Openstreetmaps

Hi,

im pretty new in Openstreetmaps and one of my colleagues installed a local OSM system.
I want to add some presets for the iD editor and found an instruction on the github site. It sounds pretty easy and after i cloned the github project i could add some presets in the data directory.
My Problem is, i can't find a data directory in my osm project. The only files and directories for iD are in openstreetmaps/vendor/assets/iD .
How can i Update this iD version or how can i add some presets in the dafault iD Editor in osm.
I appreciate any help or information.
